We are delighted to confirm that we have recently secured a new contract for the renovation of a Victorian property in the centre of Oxford. The ambit of works include second and ground floor extensions along with the addition of a large basement. Works are to commence shortly.
The construction and installation of an underground spiral wine cellar is almost complete. Renovation works continue to the inside of the property and the construction of the new extension.
Construction of the first phase of Oak Manor is progressing well with the masonry team achieving plate level last week.
Chesnut Lodge Update
This project is of a timber frame construction. On the 27th of September an air permeability test was carried out on the property which passed with flying colours. The design air permeability was specified as 8.Om3/h/m2 and the achieved value was 4.4m3/h/m2, an almost 50 % improvement on the specification. The fantastic results were achieved by the skill and meticulous attention to detail of our staff.
The scaffolding to the rear of the property remains in place whilst we await delivery of the bespoke glass handrails to complete the balcony.
This project has now been completed. Despite major additions to the contracted works the project was completed by the imposed deadline. The barn conversion is an amazing success due to the effective teamwork between all parties
