We are extremely proud of the achievement of Adam Hall who has achieved his Level III Bricklaying NVQ, passing with Distinction. Well done Adam.
Members of staff joined the directors at Underwood for a thrilling day of paintball. The team did extremely well. It was a fun day enjoyed by all. Three of our team were awarded with certificates.
The masonry team have completed the first stage of their Stone Mason Course. A traditional stone masonry course focusing on developing stone carving and dressing skills, together with imparting the techniques and discipline required for executing inticate detailed stone work. The course is approved by English Heritage and will continue into 2012.
All members of the team thoroughly enjoyed the course, amd have already been able to utilise their new skills on site. Paul Robinson the masonry foreman remarked “We are looking forward to completing the challenges ahead. It is fantastic to see how even the more junior members of the team are very excited about the course. Stone carving requires meticulous attention to detail, all members of staff have done exceptionally well. The standard of work required is nothing less than we expect every day on site. “
Congratulations to Mark Fairbairn who has completed his 2 year NVQ Carpentry Apprentorship. Mark has passed his Level II qualification with a merit of distinction. Mark will now go on to start his Level III NVQ in Carpentry in September 2010. Well done Mark!
Adam Hall has passed the requisite interview to enable him to start his Level III NVQ in Brickwork in September 2010 after recently completing his Level II. Well done Adam!
